General Information

The Telemedicine Information Exchange (TIE) solicits articles on the broad spectrum of telehealth and telemedicine, including the following:

Previously published articles may be submitted with permission from the original source of publication; credit will be given to the original source.

The TIE staff reserves the right to edit for clarity and grammatical or typographical errors. If there are significant editorial revisions, articles will be returned to the author for preview before publication. The TIE staff also reserves the right to choose not to publish a submitted manuscript.

All submissions should include the title of the article, name and title/affiliation of each author, and full address, phone number, and email for first author.

Guidelines

References

Please do not use footnotes. Indicate cited text in the article with the last name of the author and date in parentheses.

Example, single author: The last survey identified 150 telemedicine programs in the United States (Grigsby, 2000).

Example, two authors: (Roberts and Moyer, 2002).

Example, more than two authors: (Jurgens et al., 2001).

The list of references should be alphabetized at the end of the document under a References heading. Format for each citation type follows:

Text referring generally to a Web site should be noted in the body of the text where possible, with web site name, URL, and date cited:

The California Telemedicine and Telehealth Center (CTTC) Web site lists all CTTC grants based in California (http://www.cttconline.org).

The National Federal and State Medical Boards (NFSMB) tried to obtain support for a 'Model Act to Regulate the Practice of Medicine Across State Lines' but was never successful (http://www.fsmb.org).

Information taken from a specific article or authored text on a web site may be cited in the references:
